The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia is a registered charity that aims to increase financial support to community initiatives throughout Nova Scotia while providing hope and eradicating the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction. Since 2006, the Foundation has granted more than $5 million in funding to mental health initiatives throughout Nova Scotia increasing access to mental health programs and services province-wide. The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia genuinely cares about those living with mental illness and addiction, and the well-being of their circle of support. The Foundation provides funding through Community Grants, Named Grants and Nova Scotia Mental Health and Addictions Program Grants to supports and services that will benefit the mental health of Nova Scotians. These initiatives make a difference in the lives of those living with mental illness and addiction, and their loved ones, while changing the way people think.
